    DESCRIPTION

Join us for an exceptional evening as we celebrate "The American", a concert that explores diverse perspectives on America through music. This program promises a memorable journey, offering a blend of contemporary and classical works that reflect how America has inspired artists around the world.

This concert features the world premiere of a new work by Australian composer Nicholas Kyriakakis, inspired by an American photographer's image of New York. The evening also includes George Gershwin’s quintessentially American Rhapsody in Blue, and culminates with Antonín Dvořák’s String Quartet No. 12, The American, a reflection of the Czech composer’s impressions of American culture.

Experience this unique celebration where tradition and modernity converge, showcasing global interpretations of American life and culture.
