DESCRIPTION

Join us for an exceptional evening as we celebrate "The American", a concert that explores diverse perspectives on America through music. This program promises a memorable journey, offering a blend of contemporary and classical works that reflect how America has inspired artists around the world.

This concert features the world premiere of a new work by Australian composer Nicholas Kyriakakis, inspired by a British photographer's image of an American street. The evening also includes George Gershwin’s quintessentially American Rhapsody in Blue, and culminates with Antonín Dvořák’s String Quartet No. 12, The American, a reflection of the Czech composer’s impressions of American culture.

Experience this unique celebration where tradition and modernity converge, showcasing global interpretations of American life and culture.
