About our guest
Born in Ghana, Sheikh Nuru Mohammed holds a BA in Islamic Philosophy and Mysticism, and an MA in Islamic Studies. He is currently the resident scholar at the KSIMC of Birmingham, UK.
Sheikh Nuru is the “Lady Khadija Visiting Fellow” in Shia studies at the Woolf Institute, Cambridge, and is a former visiting lecturer at the Tangaza University College in Nairobi, Kenya. He founded the Ummu Abeeha Empowerment Centre in Kumasi, Ghana, and cofounded the Imamiya Islamic Research Institute in Johannesburg.
About the event
Our respected guest will be welcomed at three separate events in Sydney on the 22nd, 23rd and 24th February 2024, discussing "Optimism with Occultation: between despair and hope".
On his first night, Sheikh Nuru will be giving us an inspiring and educational seminar on the topic of The Art of Active Intidhaar. The program will begin with prayer and Quran.
