The Art of Climate Change Student Workshop: Create Your Own Climate Action Provocation

About the Workshop:


Building on the success of our Art of Climate Change event at Greenhouse Sydney, we’re excited to expand this project and offer design, marketing and communication students the chance to contribute to the climate action movement.

Workshop Purpose:

This session will empower you to explore innovative ways to communicate about climate change and inspire action. You’ll experiment with both imagery and language to create powerful messages.

Facilitators:

The workshop will be led by a team of creative and communication experts, including:

• Dr. Michelle Catanzaro, Creative Director and Researcher at Western Sydney University
• Alanna Roy, Senior Creative at Edge Impact
• Stephanie Lau, Communications Manager at Edge Impact

About the Session:

• All poster-making resources will be provided
• The session will begin with a keynote from Dr. Michelle Catanzaro, offering expert insights into the latest research on climate action communication and how visual design can drive impactful change
• Following the keynote, you'll dive into an interactive workshop with hands-on guidance
• Catering will be provided, so you can focus on fueling your creativity
• At the end, we’ll have time to present to each other our creations, and form new connections with fellow participants

Workshop Benefits:

Design your own climate action provocation, with the potential to have it selected, printed and displayed in the Greenhouse Climate Action Hub

Participants who have their poster selected will go into the running for an internship opportunity with the Climate Action Foundation, allowing you to contribute to Greenhouse’s programs, Climate Action Initiatives, and Climate Action Week Sydney (CAW.SYD25)
