EVENT SUMMARY

If you consume specialty coffee, then welcome to the family. You are playing a very important role in the life cycle of the coffee bean. By consuming delicious coffee, you are not only an individual that has exceptional taste, but you are also someone impacting the supply and demand of a global industry.

Join us for an interactive cupping event where we will taste, smell, and unpack the world of specialty coffee. An industry that is built on the cornerstones of passion, sustainability and traceability.

We know you know coffee and that’s why you’re here, but we want to take you behind the scenes and introduce you to

The coffee farmer often InterGen family businesses striving to improve their coffee quality
The green bean broker building relationships with farmers and connecting them to your cup
The roaster who is skillfully roasting small batches of highly priced and sought after varietals
The barista who is working with a recipe to get the best out of the coffee
The consumer who completes the cycle – of bean to cup... you!

When you purchase coffee from a specialty roaster such as Karvan Coffee, or from your favourite cafe, such as Little Loaf Lunch Bar, you are contributing to the very existence of this industry. Specialty coffee can only exist through the dedication of the people who have made it their life’s work to make quality their priority. As lovers of coffee and specialty coffee roasters, we are considerate of many factors before we purchase and roast the green bean, and this is our backstory.

Let us showcase a selection of our single origins, answer your coffee questions and chat about unique flavour profiles and why we roast for particular brew methods.
