The morning will focus on alternating between various pages to create colourful expressive layers full of feeling. You will be gently guided through a series of prompts and suggestions to help you relax and open to your innate creativity. Observing the dynamics of rhythm, repetition, harmony, colour, contrast and value to build up interesting and unique works to continue with later.

After lunch, Life Drawing will start with free-flowing, energetic, fast and fun warm-up exercises with an artist model. Especially designed to enhance new ways of seeing & to develop eye to hand coordination. Dynamic drawing will help us capture the essence, energy and movement of the figure.

When we are ready we will set up for some longer poses and start layering the figure onto our prepared pages with paints, ink & charcoal.

The workshop will encourage you to trust your intuition and uncover your unique way of expressing. You may be surprised to discover how natural drawing & painting the figure will feel. Using music and dynamic drawing exercises it is possible to make an instant connection, bypassing your analytical brain and moving into creative flow. These moments of 'flow' or being 'in the zone' is where the magic happens and drawings emerge without effort. Being in these states enhances a sense of wellbeing and joy that filters into your daily life.
