'The Art of Full-Time Living' Discussion Circle: Social Connections
Event description
Full Time Lives' Discussion Circle complements the book, The Art of Full Time Living, Designing a Connected and Meaningful Life.
Our aim is to foster a supportive and inclusive environment for women going through any stage of their midlife transition.
The Discussion Circle is designed to help you explore topical ideas and discover opportunities through new social connections.
You will have the opportunity to share your thoughts and experiences and learn from and lean on others for inspiration and support.
It's about giving space for voices to come together & listening to others - not about giving advice, passing judgement or comments.
Why join Full Time Lives' Discussion Circle?
Discussion Circles are based on the premise that ‘the wisdom is in the room’, meaning that we can gain as much from the wisdom and experience of our peers.
Discussion Circles are an opportunity to...
- Explore and advance ideas for your mid-life transition
- Create new connections and strengthen your community
- Listen to a variety of people's experiences and harness the collective wisdom in the room
- Offer insights from your experiences in the hope they can be valuable to others
How Does A Discussion Circle Work
Participants engage in collaborative inquiry, asking questions that are constructive and aimed at exploring perspectives, attitudes, assumptions, beliefs, as well as driving ideas forward.
At the end of the session there is time for reflection and consideration of what you have learned, how it applies to your own situation and experiences, and what actions or next steps you might take as a result.
