The Art of Lent Discussion Group
Event description
Join the Rev'd Christopher Waterhouse for a six-week group discussion series looking at "The Art of Lent". Drawing on materials from St Martin-in-the-Fields in partnership with the National Gallery of England, each week we look at some art related to Lenten themes and what they teach us about Jesus, about Christian faith and Christian living.
We are running two separate groups this year, an evening group on Wednesdays during Lent and a lunchtime group on Thursdays, depending on what time of day you prefer to attend. Please bring a plate of food suitable for sharing and something to drink. We meet in the Bishop Hay Centre, 121 Macquarie Street, Hobart.
Evening group meeting on Wednesdays 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th March and 5th April from 6pm until 7:30pm. Evening Prayer will be said in the Cathedral at 5:30pm for those who wish to attend.
Lunchtime Group meeting on Thursdays 2nd, 9th, 16th, 23rd, 30th March and 6th April at 12noon until 1:30pm.
