Event description

"Last Chance to Register for The Art of Mindfulness Weekend Program"
*Bookings close on Monday 13 March.

Discover the art of mindfulness and the mindfulness of art.

**Plus for educators and parents... Techniques for using mindful art activities in the classroom.

The ‘Art of Mindfulness’ is a unique and immersive weekend retreat designed to help you connect with your inner creativity, find peace in the present moment, and unleash your true potential. We believe that the combination of mindfulness and art can create a powerful interwoven experience that can lead to greater self-awareness, personal growth, and overall well-being.

The mindful art activities that we will be participating in are carefully designed to tap into your creativity and help you connect with your inner self. Whether you are an experienced artist or simply looking to try something new, these activities will allow you to explore the present moment and find inspiration in the simple things around you.

We will also be learning the principles of mindfulness and how they can be applied to our daily lives. You will be led through a range of practices, including mindful breathing, meditation, and mindful movement, helping us to quiet our minds and connect with our inner selves. Whether you are looking to reduce stress and anxiety, or simply to find greater peace and calm in your life, the mindfulness practices that we will learn at this weekend course are designed to help you achieve your goals.

This will be a hands-on, get in and play weekend. :)

Our program will include mindful art activities including mark making, neuro-art, mandala making, watercolour, and collage. Our final project piece will incorporate any or all of these techniques in a beautiful abstract mixed medium creations.

For those who are parents, teachers or working with children… you will also learn some simple ways to use mindful art practices that encourages exploration and creativity. As we explore the range of techniques, including drawing, painting and mixed media, we will discuss how these practices can be used to help children develop emotional regulation, self-awareness, and a sense of connection to themselves and others.

# Please note… While we do utilise art techniques as a tool for self-regulation and inner exploration, this is not art therapy. Please see the full explanation of this in the FAQs on our website.

This program is ideal for home-schooling parents or educators of children of all age groups, who are passionate about promoting student well-being and using art as a tool for learning and growth. With "The Art of Mindfulness" you will gain the skills, knowledge, and inspiration you need to integrate mindful art practices into your teaching and help your students thrive.

All participants will receive handouts on each of the activities we explore, plus ideas on how to use them with children.

The setting for this weekend course is the beautiful and serene environment of Nunyara Conference Centre, located at Belair in the Adelaide foothills from 25 - 26 March. Surrounded by nature and peaceful scenery, this is the perfect place for us to disconnect from the distractions of everyday life and immerse ourselves in the practices of mindfulness and art. I believe that this peaceful environment will play a key role in the overall transformative experience of the weekend.

Tax deductions: Teachers and educators working with children are generally able to claim our courses as professional learning for full tax deductions. Please check with your tax agent.
