Event description

the art of sharing. IP insights for small business owners in the age of social media and content creation.

All business owners are creative. It doesn't matter whether you're in a creative industry or a corporate industry.

Being a business owner means being creative with how you deliver work. Even the way you create a client experience.

But if all business owners are creative and we're creating and sharing our work more than ever, is there an art of sharing?

How do we stop the copycats? How can we look to protect the time and creative investment we've made in our work? When is it ok to share?

I'd love for you to join me at the art of sharing where I will talk about these topics and more.

A little about your host, Emilia Cardillo
After working in boutique and national law firms and helping hundreds of small business owners over the past 14 years, I’ve learnt what small business owners need and want (and more importantly what they don’t want) when it comes to legal support for their business. I wanted to focus solely on business law so I became and Accredited Specialist in Business Law in 2019. I’m also proud to say that I’m Newcastle’s first female Accredited Specialist in Business Law.

I started Cardillo Commercial Lawyers to help support small business owners’ access legal advice that would support and grow their business in a judgement free and approachable environment. Where questions are encouraged and you’ll get an answer in plain English and with real world relevance. You’ll never be surprised by a bill or worried about extra costs for making a call because when you work with me, you’ll get a fixed price for the work we’ll do together.

I also love being part of my local business community and I’ve been a volunteer committee member of Gen Collective since 2018 and Vice President for since 2020. I’m also known to volunteer for school canteen duties and kids soccer manager duties as well!
