Industry insight and inspiration for VET Visual Arts trainers

The Art of Teaching is our annual professional learning event for VET-in-Schools Visual Arts trainers. Building on strong feedback from last year's event, the day offers fresh inspiration, industry connections and practical ideas to take back into the classroom.

The day begins with a behind-the-scenes tour of the Holmes à Court Gallery, before travelling to Subiaco for a guided street art walking tour. After lunch at the Vibe Hotel Subiaco, trainers will hear from artist Ron Bradfield Jnr about his creative journey and contemporary art practice, then finish with a hands-on watercolour workshop led by House of Hobby.

Across the day, trainers will gain insight into how galleries and artists work today, connect with fellow VET Visual Arts trainers and leave with practical techniques they can apply directly in their teaching.

Event Details

Morning tea, lunch and all transport throughout the day are provided. Places are strictly limited and allocated on a first in, first served basis, so we encourage you to register early.

All attendees will receive a Professional Learning Certificate of Attendance, which can contribute to your VET industry currency and ongoing professional learning requirements.

Payment can be made by credit card, or you can request an invoice for your accounts department by selecting "Invoice" at checkout. Please note that invoices can only be paid by bank transfer, not by credit card.
