The Art Of Teaching 2026 (Perth)
Inspiring industry insights for VET Visual Arts educators.
Join us for The Art of Teaching, our annual Professional Learning event designed specifically for VET Visual Arts teachers. Building on the overwhelmingly positive feedback from last year’s event, this immersive day has been developed to provide educators with fresh inspiration, industry connections and practical ideas to take back into the classroom.
The day begins with a guided behind-the-scenes tour of the Holmes à Court Gallery, where teachers will gain insights into contemporary Australian art, exhibition curation and the role galleries play in supporting artists and engaging audiences.
From there, we’ll travel by bus to Subiaco for a guided street art walking tour, exploring the stories, techniques and creative processes behind some of Perth’s vibrant public artworks. Following the tour, enjoy lunch at the Vibe Hotel Subiaco before hearing from renowned artist Ron Bradfield Jnr, who will share his experiences, creative journey and insights into contemporary art practice.
The afternoon will conclude with a hands-on watercolour workshop delivered by the talented team from House of Hobby, providing practical techniques and creative inspiration that can be applied directly within your teaching practice.
Morning tea, lunch and all transport throughout the day are included.
Places are strictly limited and will be allocated on a first in, first served basis, so secure your place early to avoid disappointment.
Come together with fellow VET Visual Arts educators for a day of creativity, connection and inspiration at The Art of Teaching.
Please note, payment for this event can be made by credit card, or you can request an invoice for your Accounts Department by selecting “Invoice” at checkout.

Oh Hey WA
Oh Hey WA was founded in 2014 by 23-year-old Adie, who discovered her love for walking tours while backpacking through Europe. Inspired by the joy of exploring new places, she decided to bring that same sense of discovery to her hometown of Perth. So, despite just finishing a mechanical engineering degree, she swapped gears and launched her own tour company.
