Freedom. That’s what I stand for. That’s what my art stands for. And with my art, I am free. I do not stay within one realm. I yearn to explore and to learn. I yearn for beauty through color and with nature. I yearn for childhood naivety and also adult maturity. My art draws you in with its color and imagination. At its core is freedom and flight.

Unpredictable and deep. Emotional and simply captivating. That's what describes Valerie Vibar's work.

Her sketches boast of strength despite the sorrow that could be felt. It’s tenacious and fierce. It’s about a woman who has found strength in herself, and this is an admirable talent. You look through her subjects' eyes and see warriors and queens. Whether or not Vibar draws them nude or if she decides to put a flower between their lips, you know that her subjects are looking at you. There’s no pretense. It’s real. It’s dramatic. It’s empowering. It’s as if they’re whispering a song to you.

And from her sketches, her colorful birds came to life, which resulted in sold-out exhibits. It’s honestly quite flabbergasting how this dramatic artist came to paint something with so much innocence and wonder. Her birds are pure and childlike. It’s adorable. It lights up the room with its rich colors.

As Vibar experimented more, she learned to mix the two things she loved the most. The stories of women and the innocence of childhood. This resulted in her complex paintings that are so unique that one cannot help but stare. There are elements of mythology, music, nature, poetry, and more. She’s grounded and intelligent. She's an artist who’s continuously expanding. There’s no saying where this woman will go or what her next painting will present.
