    Julia Mitchell

Hi. I am Julia from Jules Jewels and I have been creating jewellery pieces for about 20 years now. It all grew from making necklaces and earrings for myself and eventually morphed into having stalls at markets around Albany and Denmark. Recently I have been delivering youth workshops and found that I very much enjoy passing on my jewellery making knowledge and helping other people create jewellery pieces of their own. I am looking forward to delivering the workshop in May where I will show you how to make a wrap bracelet using memory wire as well as stretch elastic bracelets. I will have all the equipment you need plus an amazing array of beads for you to play and create with. No previous experience required, just a willingness to discover your inner creativeness.

Lineup

  • Shamara de Tissera

    Shamara de Tissera

Shamara de Tissera has been playing harp since her son was in her belly — a practice that has grown over more than two decades into a rich vocation spanning performance, therapy, education and community. With a Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Western Australia, she has brought live harp music to hospital bedsides, palliative care, aged care homes, kindergartens, schools, churches, and Buddhist temples. As vice-president of the Harp Society of WA and founder of Swanharp in the Great Southern, she is a passionate advocate for music as a pathway to health and well-being. Shamara’s yoga events offer a rare opportunity to move and breathe within a live soundscape crafted for stillness and renewal. Whether you’re stepping onto the mat for the first time or deepening an existing practice, her warm, grounded presence makes each session a truly restorative experience.
