The Australian Voices - Echos & Horizons

This November, we present Echoes and Horizons at Holy Trinity Church, Fortitude Valley — an afternoon that reflects on 30 years of pioneering Australian choral music while looking ahead to the future.

The program features the world premieres of works by two students from our Young Composer Program, alongside a number of new works from 2025 that you might have heard if you’ve been to some of our other concerts this year. Alumni singers will also join us for part of the performance, honouring the legacy of more than 500 commissioned works and the generations of voices who have shaped Australia’s choral sound.

As one of our founders and an internationally acclaimed composer, Stephen Leek recently said, our performances bring an “astonishing range of choral colour, supreme musicianship and dazzling control of vocal virtuosity that has placed them amongst the finest choirs on the planet.” It’s high praise we strive to live up to every time we sing.
