When Rosie arrives battered and bruised, her theatre company tries to uncover the culprit, but the more they dig the more elusive the truth becomes.

The Beast of Burden is an original play which has been developed with a brilliant group of actors, directors and creatives from the Rotorua Little Theatre Society over the last year, and we are finally, after a herculean effort, ready to bring this show to you.

On a personal note, it has been the thrill of a lifetime to develop this play. From the kernel of an idea, that popped into my head while studying a Master of Creative Writing at Massey University, through several drafts with feedback from Professors and directors, to script read-throughs with talented actors, to workshops on stage and finally through a whirlwind run of rehearsals with our amazing cast. Bringing this story to life has been pure joy and I can't wait to share it with you all.
