The Beatles' Rooftop Concert - by The Honey Sliders
Event description
The Beatles gave their final performance upon a rooftop in downtown London, during a freezing cold winter’s day in 1969. In doing so, they created one of the most iconic and well documented concerts of all time - known today as The Rooftop Concert.
The songs they sang that day went on to became classics in the pantheon of rock n roll history - with songs like ‘Get Back’ and ‘Don’t Let Me Down’, The Beatles were back to the raw power of their rock ’n’ roll best.
The Honey Sliders are a band made up of some of the most respected musicians in Australia, including the multiple award-winning Danny Widdicombe (The Wilson Pickers, Bernard Fanning, Tim Rogers, Shane Nicholson), Dan Mansfield (You Am I, Gin Club), Bos Borley (Bernard Fanning, The Resin Dogs), and Ben Carstens (Mexico City).
Bringing The Rooftop Concert back to life, The Honey Sliders return to the stage to play a chronological selection of Fab Four hits and rarities from the unique and dizzying selection of songs from the greatest band the world has ever seen.
