This month we explore the power of brand and culture with two incredible business leaders.

Meet Ellen Powell, founder and CEO of The Somewhere Co. Harnessing her extensive experience in brand for the likes of Marie Claire, Instyle, Ikea and many more, Ellen launched stationery brand Blushing Confetti in 2014, and in 2017 a baby lifestyle company Livvy and Harry with her business partner. In 2020, these two brands merged to create The Somewhere Co. which is now a global brand that operates in B2C and B2B markets, and is currently rolling out retail stores across Australia with outstanding growth that sees her taking this industry by storm!

Next, we have Krissy O'Sullivan the founder of As We Are Agency, a modelling agency dedicated to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the fashion industry. After experiencing the modelling industry first-hand as a freelance model, Krissy took the leap to create her own agency in 2019 to help change the fashion industry and create a more inclusive space where collaboration thrives and models feel supported... and making a change she is indeed!

If you have not been to one of our events before, here is what you need to know:

• This is not your average networking event. We cannot tell you our secrets just yet, but you will meet some epic people and have some epic conversations. No awkward small talk or sales pitches allowed.
• We have an anti-loner policy. If you are coming alone one of our team will discreetly introduce you to some people so you are not left standing in a corner awkwardly staring at your shoes. We got you.
