Step into the enchanting world of "The Best Cabinet Maker," an original musical uncovering the hidden history of Chinese cabinet makers in Melbourne's Little Bourke Street during the late 19th to early 20th century. Follow Ah Chan's journey from Canton to Melbourne, where he trains with master carpenter Ah Mok, facing discrimination as they build a thriving business, and navigating through the challenges of bringing his wife, Ah Moi, into Australia during the era of White Australia Policy.
Set against a backdrop of solidarity and infused with melodies of traditional Chinese instruments erhu, guzheng, dizi

《唐人街木匠》是一部原创华人历史音乐剧，聚焦一段鲜少被提及的澳洲华人反抗史。随着音乐响起，我们将回到19世纪末至20世纪初的墨尔本唐人街，随着主人公阿陈一起，从广东漂洋过海，怀揣梦想抵达墨尔本，在老师傅阿木的悉心指导慢慢成长为一个优秀的木匠。故事展现了他们如何在在那个年代克服重重歧视，建立起自己的金字招牌。但更大的难题还在等待着阿陈，在那个白澳移民政策盛行的年代，阿陈和他同样来自广东的妻子阿梅要经过多少道考验，才能终于在澳大利亚团聚？
