Since the launch of the Savannah Cabaret in 2021, we have done nearly 30 shows and literally hundreds of songs. When we decided it was time to do a “Best Of” show, we couldn’t figure out which of our best was the best. So, we figured we’d leave it up to fate… and you!
Some of your favorite performers will take the stage ready to sing some of your favorite songs, but they won’t know what they are going to sing or when.
A spin of the wheel will determine who sings and then the audience will vote in real time, which of the performer’s songs they want to hear. It’ll be an unpredictable show where almost anything can happen including some surprises on the wheel that the performers don’t know about!
It gets even wilder in the second act as the performers get to “steal” songs that they wish they had performed, with the wheel and the audience once again determining what happens on stage.
Each show could be completely different but expect more than a dozen of the best songs from some of Savannah Cabaret past shows, which may include “Time Traveling Drag Queens;” “Murdered by Horror;” “Murdered by Disco;” “Christmas in Mistletoe Falls;” “Say Gay;” “Love Stories/Love Songs;” “Savannah Cabaret Underground;” and more!
Performers include:
Molly Alexander, who played the evil Mrs. Claus in "Christmas in Mistletoe Falls 2" and Inspector Kemp in "Mel Brook's Young Frankenstein." Molly also recently appeared in "A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder" for the Savannah Performing Arts Festival.
Damon Banks Jr., most recently seen as Ted the Sensitive Stoner in "Murdered by Horror" and Disco King Shaun Macho in last year's "Murdered by Disco!"
Nicole Borysowicz, who you may remember as the irrepressible Inga in "Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein." She also played Janet in last year's production of "The Rocky Horror Show Live" for The Bay Street Theatre.
Travis Harold Coles has worked on every Savannah Cabaret show since its inception, either on stage as Igor in "Mel Brooks' Young Frankenstein" and Bill in "Bill in Vivian's Christmas Party" or behind the scenes as our set designer.
Hannah Dodson is an audience favorite, showing up in almost all of our Savanah Cabaret shows, most recently as Mary Christmas in "Christmas in Mistletoe Falls 2" and Annie the Slutty Cheerleader in "Murdered by Horror".
Ethan Goble has left audience laughing with his outrageous recent turns as the possessed Sheriff Yul Tihed in "Christmas in Mistletoe Falls 2" and The Whore in "Murdered by Horror".
Cami Nicole Hall, who you may remember as Ginger the (fake) nun from the "Time Traveling Drag Queens" series or as roller derby queen Gloria Granada from "Murdered by Disco!"
Gwen Leahy has been involved in every Savannah Cabaret show in some way including onstage most recently as Sugar Plum, the woman in all the parody commercials in "Christmas in Mistletoe Falls 2," and as Elizabeth in "Mel Brooks' Young Frankestein."
Shows Friday, March 7 at 7pm and Saturday, March 8 at 3pm at Club One, 1 Jefferson St, Downtown Savannah.
NOTE: All guests must be 21+. All songs will be performed live to pre-recorded tracks. The event will be held on the second floor showroom of Club One, which is only accessible by stairs. There is no elevator access.
