The Betrayal of Anne Frank - A Discussion on the Cold Case Investigation
Event description
On the 4th August 1944, Anne Frank, along with her parents, Otto and Edith, sister Margot, Otto's friends Hermann and Auguste van Pels, their son, Peter and a dentist named Fritz Pfeffer were discovered and arrested by the Nazis and taken to a concentration camp. That day marked the end of twenty-five months of onderduiken for these 8 people. For almost 75 years, the question of who betrayed the Frank family had never been decisively answered.
Five years ago, first a retired FBI agent and later on a Queensland detective who was working for the International Criminal Court in The Hague, joined the investigative team in Amsterdam to uncover who the betrayal is.Â
