The Object Merchant Ball

The Object Merchant Ball is the opening night of Object Merchant, an experimental retail event that showcases work from emerging makers across disciplines including fashion, art, ceramics, jewellery, industrial design and more.

This event marks our second large scale celebration of our community, bringing together over 50 highly skilled practitioner showcasing and selling their wares in one epic location.

The Grand Annual Object Merchant Ball is your chance to see the market before anyone else, witness our other-worldly opening ceremony and enjoy our carefully selected line-up of music, dance, performance, projection art, specialty food and drinks. 

Object Merchant is a proud participant in the PayPal Melbourne Fashion Festival’s Independent Programme 2026.

Please note the Opening Ceremony Runway will be held at 7pm.

The space will be lightly scented by Subtle Bodies who create artisanal quality incense.
