The Big Quiz '24
Event description
The BIG quiz is a very popular annual fundraiser for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Christchurch - a youth mentoring charity providing a life-changing programme to the tamariki and rangatahi of Ōtautahi-Christchurch who need it most.
Every year we love to run this fun event for people to come together, answer some questions, have a laugh, buy a raffle ticket, and support the mahi of BBBS. We are a registered charity and rely on the generosity of our local community through sponsorship, donations, grants, and these fundraising events as we receive no Government funding. Although the service is free to families, the cost to provide mentoring for each young person/taiohi isn’t; it costs approximately $2,000 per year to fully support each mentoring match.
All funds raised go directly to supporting young people in Christchurch through one-on-one mentoring. Your support enables Big Brother Big Sisters of Christchurch to match children aged 6 to 12 who face adversity with a wonderful volunteer adult mentor. It’s through these strong, trusted, and enduring mentoring relationships that our young people are given the opportunity to shine!
