The Big Read Kickoff!
Event description
Write Pittsburgh will launch its National Endowment for the Arts Big Read program exploring Ross Gay’s poetry collection, Catalog of Unabashed Gratitude at the Homewood-Brushton YMCA Garden Party on September 18, 2024 from 5-7:30pm.Â
The kick-off event will feature a scavenger hunt based on the book, including collaborative poetry writing, tea-making, a cozy rest station, letter-writing to trees, and more!Â
An initiative of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest, the NEA Big Read broadens our understanding of our world, our communities, and ourselves through the power of a shared reading experience. Write Pittsburgh amplifies voices, empowers writers, and fosters relationships through creative writing workshops that build writer agency and strengthen community.
Write Pittsburgh is proud to have City Books as a collaborator for the Big Read!
