The Big Spooky Singing Thing

Concert? Singing work-shop? Gladiatorial spectacle? This is all of these.

You will be sung to, sung with, sung around. We will tweak the physical environment and let you find new places to be. You will listen, you will sing along, maybe you'll just sit and do some needlework. The main point is to blur the boundaries between us and you, to show you things to sing, so if you want to, you can be part of the big spooky sound. Or not. It is perfectly fine to just sit or lie down, and let the sounds re-jiggle your thingamibobbies.

The magnificent, many-headed singing beast that is the Spooky Men’s Chorale comes to Coolum to carve out new territories of mighty sounds, exquisite tenderness, and charming stupidity. Festival favourites in Australia and the UK, they evoke musical worlds far beyond that suggested by their unassuming, casually hatted, black-clad appearance. They are just a bunch of blokes, but where they take you will blow your mind.
