Get excited Waimate, we're bringing you a massive night of laughs headlined by internationally award winning legend, Tim Batt.

Tim is a New Zealand-based comedy boy who has performed live comedy in London, LA, NYC, Melbourne and Sydney and across NZ, and have been called "one of the brightest young comedians the Southern Hemisphere's seen in yonks" by now-MP, Chlöe Swarbrick.

As well as stand-up, Tim does podcasts too, mainly The Worst Idea of All Time - a stupid idea he embarked on with Guy Montgomery that now has over 20 million downloads.

During the lockdowns of 2020, Tim made a live streaming comedy/art show called HAPPENING! which won Best Online Production at the 2020 NZ Comedy Guild Awards.
In 2018, Tim was showrunner/producer of lauded podcast-turned-web series The Male Gayz with funding from NZ On Air and co-created/co-wrote/directed The Fucket List!
In 2017, Tim wrote and hosted his own live TV political chat show, Banter on TVNZ's Duke.
Previously, Tim produced Comedy Central's 'No Experience Necessary' and was Executive Producer of TVNZ's New Blood project.

The NZ Comedy Guild has awarded Tim Best Producer in 2020 and 2021, and Outstanding Contribution To The Industry in 2022 and Outstanding Artist Achievement in 2015.
He's written and appeared on kiwi TV shows including 7DaysJono and BenThe Late Night Big BreakfastGuy Montgomery's Guy Mont Spelling Bee and more.

Tim won the inaugural 1Cover Comedy Competition, has been a global finalist for Laugh Factory's Funniest Person In The World, and has been part of the Grand National Champion team in the 48Hour Film Competition.
In the NZ International Comedy Festival Tim has been Best Newcomer and twice nominated for the Billy T Award.
