Prepare for an extraordinary evening of world-class jazz as renowned New York pianist Bill O'Connell, Boston-based bassist Lincoln Goines, and Bay Area drummer Jon Krosnick bring their collective artistry to our stage playing Bill’s sparkling original repertoire. These three acclaimed musicians represent the pinnacle of contemporary jazz performance, each bringing decades of experience alongside legends of the genre to create an unforgettable musical experience.

Bill O'Connell stands as one of New York's most revered pianists and a master of Latin jazz whose lyrical approach draws from the influences of Bill Evans, Herbie Hancock, and Chick Corea. With 19 albums as a leader and a career spanning nearly five decades, O'Connell has worked with icons including Sonny Rollins, Chet Baker, and Mongo Santamaría. A four-time recipient of SESAC's Jazz Writer of the Year award, he brings sophisticated arranging skills and "harmonic brilliance" that critics describe as speaking "through his instrument in clean lines...and melodies that tickle the heart and sear the soul." O'Connell seamlessly blends modernist jazz with Afro-Caribbean rhythms, creating music that is both intellectually compelling and deeply soulful.  His fresh arrangement of celebrated jazz standards give them all a freshness and fun that is unforgettable.

Joining O'Connell is bassist Lincoln Goines, a mainstay of the New York City jazz, Latin, and studio scene for over four decades. Originally from Oakland, California, Goines has distinguished himself as one of the premier bassists of his generation, performing and recording with an illustrious roster including Dizzy Gillespie, Sonny Rollins, Paquito D'Rivera, Michel Camilo, Mike Stern, and Carly Simon. As a professor at Berklee College of Music and co-author of the definitive instructional book "Funkifying the Clave," Goines brings both virtuosic technique and deep groove to every performance. His fluid, versatile style and impeccable time feel have made him a first-call bassist for jazz and Latin music projects across genres.

Rounding out this powerhouse trio is Jon Krosnick, a drummer whose remarkable dual life as a Stanford University professor and accomplished jazz musician makes him a unique force in contemporary music. A founding member of the acclaimed group Charged Particles, Krosnick studied classical percussion with Metropolitan Opera Orchestra's Fred Hinger and jazz drumming with the legendary Peter Erskine. On the classical side, he performed as a soloist with the Philadelphia Orchestra, and on the jazz side, he performed Chick Corea and John Patitucci. With O’Connell and Goines, he has performed in leading New York venues, including The Django.  His sophisticated, grooving approach to Bill’s music provides the perfect rhythmic foundation for this exceptional trio, blending classical precision with jazz's spontaneous spirit.

The concert begins at 6pm. We’re open from 5:00 to 8:00. Picnic tables are not available; feel free to bring a blanket to spread on the ground, or beach chairs. Please consider carpooling or bicycling, as parking is very limited.
