Wednesday, 17 April at 11am - Rhian Williams 

Emergency! Emergency! Vehicles to the Rescue. This fun and engaging book will teach us about different types of emergency vehicles, and the people who drive them and keep us safe. Rhian's own experience volunteering for her local fire brigade inspired her to write this story! We might even have a visit from the local fire brigade?

Then, after we have put out the flames, delve into the reading of her latest book, "One Little Dung Beetle," a rhyming counting adventure, featuring Australian beetles.

Sunday, 21 April at 11:30am - Amelia McInerney

Internationally published picture book author Amelia McInerney lives in Canberra, where she spends most of her time writing kids’ books, staring out the window thinking about kids’ books, and occasionally just plain staring out the window. 

Amelia joins us with Neil, the Amazing Sea Cucumber, the unlikely but loveable Neil, a downhearted sea cucumber who becomes the star of the most entertaining story about the most boring character you’ve ever come across. Jeff Giraffe dreams of adventure, and he’s not going to let his zoo enclosure stop him! With his seal sidekick, Roger, it’s time for ... THE GREAT ESCAPE! What could go wrong?!

Monday, 22 April at 11am - David Conley - Greek Mythology

🎨 Meet David, the genius behind the That Book About series - Norse Mythology, Greek Mythology, Egyptian Mythology, and Space Stuff! 🚀 Plus, he's unleashed a trove of cool activity books like Drawing Stuff and Activity Books About Norse & Greek Mythology! 🖌️📖

Join us for a workshop-style extravaganza where David will spill the secrets of his incredible illustrations, along with some pro tips for hours of drawing delight! This session will be all about GREEK MYTHOLOGY. 

It’s got Zeus, the King of The World. It’s got Perseus, the kid sent to kill a monster.  It’s got maps and mayhem and pits and prophecies. It’s got plenty more but you’ll have to see for yourself! 🤩✏️

Wednesday, 24 April at 11am - Jacinta Froud

Local children's book author Jacinta Froud is running a morning session of fun for us - with a Storytime reading of her books and some craft activities too!

🎉 Get ready for a blast of laughter and creativity because our Boredom Busters school holiday extravaganza is BACK on Wednesday, April 24th! 📆 

She is a teacher and a Mum to three children, who love listening to her silly stories and provide constructive criticism when poked. Jacinta's infectious enthusiasm for inspiring young minds is as boundless as her storytelling prowess. Friday, 26 April at 11am - David Conley - Egyptian Mythology

He's back! David Conley joins us again (yes we cannot keep him away....). This time bringing up an interactive activity session inspired by Egyptian Mythology.  Expect a session filled with laughter, learning, games, and maybe even a bit of dress-up magic - because, why not?!  It's got Horus, the god that will bend the rules to get what he wants.  It's got Set, the god that will break the rules and blow up the rule book to make sure Horus doesn't get what he wants. It's got monsters and mayhem, snakes and schemes, pyramids and parties. It's got plenty more but you'll have to see for yourself!
