Join us for an intimate evening of jazz, blues and classic showtunes with the Brandon Bentley Quartet in their debut performance at Can You Keep a Secret. Brandon Bentley is a Brisbane/Meanjin based jazz vocalist in his final year at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University. He has been performing around Brisbane since 2022 at venues like The Burrow, Fortitude Valley Music Hall, Lord Mayor City Hall and the Brisbane Jazz Club. Brandon has experience performing in a variety of styles, including big band jazz, afro Cuban jazz and vocal ensembles, but this will be his first performance that is all his own creation.

He has assembled a band of talented jazz musicians (including Ethan Coleman on keys, Connor Townson on drums, and Charlie Green on bass) to present what he describes as a ‘musical self-portrait’. Taking inspiration from his favourite performers, Nina Simone, Cecile McLorin Salvant and Liza Minnelli, Brandon’s passion lies in storytelling. So, whether you’re a seasoned jazz-head or just dipping your toes into the genre, this show promises to deliver soul-stirring sounds and timeless style.
