Hosted by The Buttery, this free community event brings families together for a relaxed evening of storytelling and shared experience. Enjoy the heartwarming film Imagine in a welcoming, family-friendly environment as we recognise and celebrate NAIDOC Week.

About the Film – IMAGINE
IMAGINE is a groundbreaking, co-created animated feature that blends Indigenous knowledge, storytelling and cutting-edge animation. The story follows Kim, a young person navigating a surreal journey of self-discovery alongside an alien dog named Jeff, exploring themes of identity, connection, imagination, Country and the future we choose to create together. The film was developed through an unprecedented global collaboration involving more than 400 contributors, including young people, educators, artists, Elders and community leaders.
The film is rated PG and is suitable for family audiences.

Jack Manning Bancroft
Jack is the Founder and CEO of the Australian Indigenous Mentoring Experience (AIME), a globally recognised Indigenous-led education and mentoring organisation. Through IMAGI-NATION, Jack has championed creativity, imagination and systems change as tools for creating a more equitable future.
Tyson Yunkaporta
Tyson is an Aboriginal scholar, author and Senior Lecturer in Indigenous Knowledges. He is widely recognised for his work sharing Indigenous ways of knowing and understanding complex systems through books including Sand Talk.
