    Event description

The Christchurch Competitions Society Inc., are pleased to present:

                                                                                             The Canterbury Opera Foundation Aria

In association with Irelands Property Management, Pomeroy Group Hospitality Business Advisors & Recruiters, Pegasus Bay Winery & Kim Chan Events.

Each year, The Christchurch Competitions Society hold a variety of competitive vocal classes for up-and-coming artists to showcase their talents to a wide audience, and further develop their skills with feedback from locally, and internationally, acclaimed adjudicators.

The Arias specifically provide a professional arena for these talented artists to perform. This year we are excited to hold the Aria at The Piano, located in the vibrant heart of Christchurch.

    Principal Sponsor:

The Canterbury Opera Foundation, was established in 2001 to ensure that funding is available to identify and foster local talent. The Foundation supports professional opera to ensure it can continue to provide opportunities for young talented artists to develop their craft.
For young artists to develop creatively and professionally, they need both training and regular performance opportunities. Embodied in the Trust Deed is the commitment to support high-quality, professional opera opportunities for local artists, audiences and theatre practitioners.
