The Cape VCE School Tour

The Cape Sustainable Development 1.5-hour VCE School Tour is specifically designed to support the OES and Geography VCE curriculum, with a focus on sustainable urban development. Featuring all of the sustainable design features of The Cape, this tour includes:

• A guided tour of the solar-passive Display House, exploring sustainable and solar-passive design and construction.
• An exploration of The Cape landscape, highlighting native and habitat planting in the private urban landscape, and ecosystem restoration in the public open landscape.
• A walk through the innovative Cape Community Farm, demonstrating rainwater reuse, harvesting via the Food Cube wicking bed system, and stormwater capture and reuse.
• An overview of our community infrastructure, including walking and cycling paths, and the sports and community precinct.
