A Night in Venice
Event description
You are invited to join students of The King’s School for a musical celebration of the baroque era in Venice. Experience the birth of modern opera, the exploration of the baroque aesthetic, and the zenith of the baroque style. This evening is an experience for the senses, comprising of 3 courses of Venetian Inspired food served around 2 concert sets featuring Solo Soprano Josie Ryan (Pinchgut Opera, The Australian Brandenburg Choir), together with members of the King’s School and guest professionals performing rare and revered works from the early Venetian baroque repertoire.
Composers featured include Donato, Cavalli, Monteverdi, Gabrielli, Massaino, and Vivaldi
Course 1- Venetian inspired Cheese and appitizers and Drinks (Special Italian cocktail Available from the Friends of Music on the evening).
Course 2- Main Course- Choice of two mains with sides.Â
Course 3- Dessert- Choice of two venetian inspired dolci.
Open Bar, featuring Chandon Brut, Clare Valley Shiraz and Sauvignon Blanc, Italian Beers, Italian Sparkling Water and other beverages
Vegetarian Option available, all dietary requirements are catered for. Please specify on form given at booking.Â
