David Williamson's classic comedy of strife and machinations behind the closed doors of an Australian Rules football club, presented by Broken Hill Repertory at Theatre 44.
A grand club's glorious tradition is facing the humiliation of yet another wooden-spoon season unless a miracle can be dredged from the shambles, and it all comes to a head in a climactic boardroom showdown. In the meantime, the club's president battles a defiant coach, rebellious players, and political backstabbing as characters maneuver themselves into the best position to pick up the pieces.
Williamson at his comedic best, brought to life with Craig Brealey, Hudson Curtis, Luke Cripps, Armando Licul, John MacLeod, and Richard Shoebridge for only four performances from June 20.
