    Event description

Bronwyn Kuss is a writer and comedian who specialises in giving extremely dry recounts of everyday tragedies to astonishing comedic effect. So astonishingly in fact, that Bronwyn’s debut solo show Any Goss saw her win the 2022 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Director’s Choice Award, alongside Wil Anderson. She was also nominated for the prestigious Best Newcomer Award.

In 2024, Bronwyn’s show Pillows xxxx won her critical acclaim and the 2024 Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s Pinder Prize – A prize that will support Bronwyn with her debut at Edinburgh Fringe in August.

Hailing from Ipswich, Bronwyn first gave comedy a crack in 2017. A few months later she represented Queensland and performed at the RAW National final at the 2018 Melbourne International Comedy Festival.

Bronwyn has performed support for Mel Buttle & Hannah Gadsby, written for BBC Radio 4 Extra’s Newsjack, attended the Upright Citizens Brigade in New York, and appeared on ABC Radio Sunday Afternoons & Triple R’s Breakfasters.

Bronwyn is potentially the only person in comedy to have the unique combination of having worked in Brisbane women’s correctional facilities, represent Queensland in Under 16’s Softball and possess university degrees in both Exercise Science and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Television. A proper renaissance woman, but to her pair of rescue dogs, she’s just mum
