The SEA Sessions (Surf Witches Education Activity) are designed to provide our members and the surfing community with the opportunity to learn more about the surfing environment and pick up some hints and tips on how we can grow and develop as surfers.

The Complete Female Surfer: Why stability is essential for female surfers

Delivered by Candice, exercise physiologist, mum, owner and creator of The Female Surfer method and pretty all round amazing woman, Candice will guide us through a journey to understand the importance of training for the female form and how to get the best our of our bodies.

INFORM: The session will

Discuss what stability is and what it means for our surfing
Help us understand the nuances between the female and male body
Teach us what the female body specifically needs
Help us understand how stability ties into surfing performance

INSPIRE: Through movement based teaching we will

Learn easy ways to test your own stability
Try movements and exercises to support your training
Learn your very own pre and post surf stability routines to keep in your personal toolkit!

This session is a great opportunity for beginners and seasoned surfers alike to provide us with some new information or a reminder of the tools we have at our disposal every time we hit the surf.

EMPOWER: Taking Off!

Following the session you'll have a chance to mingle with the switches and view the award winning documentary 'Taking Off - Tales of older women who surf' created by and featuring some of our amazing Surf Witches!

So join us for a fun, casual, informative evening and get ready to take your surfing to the next level!

Session Starts: 3:00pm
Session Ends: 6:00/6:30 pm

What to wear/bring:

Yoga mat or towel
Clothing you are comfortable to move in
A massive smile and lots of hugs!

Tickets* Include: 1 X Drink on arrival and light buffet style food and bar open until the end of the event.

Parking: Parking is available on the streets surrounding the venue, at Currumbin Alley car park and across the road in Currumbin Vikings car park.

Under 18s are able to attend but must also purchase a ticket. For under 18's a members ticket may be purchased.
