Welcome to the first gathering of The Conscious Dance Collective a new conscious dance community bringing together music, free movement, sound and genuine human connection in an alcohol and drug-free environment.

Inspired by ecstatic dance, yoga raves and somatic movement practices, The Conscious Dance Collective offers the freedom and joy of a night on the dance floor, but within a more intentional space, one where you can move however your body wants to move, be completely yourself and connect authentically with the people around you.

There are no steps to learn, no choreography and absolutely no expectation to perform. You don’t need to consider yourself a dancer. You simply arrive, listen to the music and allow your body to respond in whatever way feels natural to you.

Come alone, bring a friend, dance wildly, move gently, close your eyes, take a break or simply be in the space. There is no “right” way to experience the journey.

THE DANCE JOURNEY

The evening begins with time to arrive, settle into the space and connect with the people around you before moving together into an intentional dance journey led by DJ Hypnotia.

The music will unfold through an evolving soundscape weaving melodic and progressive house, deep house, Afro-inspired rhythms, tribal beats, UK garage and more.

Rather than simply playing a collection of tracks, the music is selected for the energy, emotion and atmosphere it creates.

We’ll begin gently, moving from stillness into the body before gradually building through movement, energy, play, expression and release, eventually bringing the energy back down towards rest and integration.

You are free to follow that journey in your own way.

LIVE MUSIC AND DRUMS WITH HARX | HARRI SING

Adding another layer to the musical journey, we’re excited to welcome HARX | Harri Sing a Sydney-based DJ, producer and multi-instrumentalist creating immersive live electronic music experiences.

Harri brings together vocals and live instrumentation, adding an organic, expressive dimension to the evening and expanding the journey beyond the traditional DJ format.

His contribution will weave into the wider Conscious Dance Collective experience, creating another opportunity to move, listen and connect through the energy of live sound before we gradually transition from the dance floor towards stillness and integration.

SOUND BATH + INTEGRATION

After the energy of the dance floor, we’ll transition from movement into stillness.

You’ll be invited to lie down, rest and receive a nourishing live sound experience with Sol Hamon, weaving the beautiful sounds of the handpan with soulful vocal harmonies.

This final part of the evening offers an opportunity to slow down, reconnect with your breath and body, and simply absorb the experience before returning to the outside world.

CONNECTION & COMMUNITY

The Conscious Dance Collective isn’t only about what happens on the dance floor.

We want to create a genuine community of people who value music, movement, wellbeing, authenticity and human connection.

There will be space before and after the journey to meet and talk with other like-minded humans, with organic chocolate and light nibbles provided.

You are very welcome to come alone. In fact, we hope this becomes the kind of space where arriving without knowing anybody doesn’t mean leaving without knowing anybody.
