About the Puketāpapa Cycle Path Ride

Distance – 6.75km in total.

Terrain – Entirely on cycle paths, with some pedestrian crossings on main roads.

Elevation – Mostly flat, with a short uphill over Keith Hay Park Bridge.

Safe riding for all ages, celebrating the cycle paths in Tāmaki Makaurau

Join experienced leaders for a fun and active way to get to The Convergence. This guided ride takes you to Ōwairaka Park on some of Tāmaki Makaurau’s fabulous cycle paths. We will meander through parkland, along the beautiful Te Auaunga awa, and glide along safe paths through neighbourhoods.

This ride incorporates ‘stations’ where you can join the ride. Each one showcases interesting and fun landmarks in Puketāpapa. You can choose a starting point that suits your biking ability. Please note the time the ride leaves from your chosen station.

It’s climate action for the whole community, and it’s fun!

Kicking off the Albert-Eden and Puketāpapa Eco Festival, the Convergence is an afternoon of entertainment and awareness raising for everyone, featuring climate-friendly activities for little and big kids, and community stalls where you can learn more about cool environmental things happening in our areas.

There will be live music and performances, and healthy kai too. And it’s an active transport event so try making your way to Ōwairaka Park on foot, by bike, or on public transport.

You can join one of two all-abilities guided bike rides, taking in local landmarks from the safety of Tāmaki Makaurau’s extensive cycle lane network.
