About Clancy
Raised on a farm in Oberon (NSW), Clancy Pye grew up with country music in her blood. Surrounded by a musical family, the 2020/2022 Toyota Star Maker Grand Finalist & 2015 Aristocrat Entertainer of The Year first picked up a guitar at the age of six & has spent her life performing in front of audiences ever since.
Fast becoming one of the most exciting singer-songwriters to emerge in Australian country music, Clancy released her debut self-titled EP in 2020 which saw her music gain widespread recognition. Her first two self-penned singles “Get Lost” & “Heaven Can’t Wait” both debuted at #1 on the iTunes Country Singles Chart & drew extensive support from new fans as well as radio stations nationwide. Her accompanying music videos would also go on to reach a substantial audience across Australia and the globe with her latest music video for her heartfelt single “Heaven Can’t Wait” receiving over 220,000 views on Facebook alone. Clancy wrapped up 2020 with a sold-out EP release tour across the Central West, leaving audiences captivated by her authenticity and phenomenal song writing.
No stranger to the big stage, Clancy has performed at some of Australia’s biggest country music festivals including CMC Rocks & The Gympie Muster as a backing vocalist/ guitarist for numerous acclaimed country artists. She has played opening support spots for the likes of Adam Harvey & Busby Marou & has also performed internationally, accompanying her older brother/ fellow artist Mickey Pye to perform at renowned country music festivals in Canada (Big Valley Jamboree) & Nashville (CMA Fest).
Influenced by the likes of Lori McKenna, Kylie Sackley, Kasey Chambers & Natalie Hemby, it is in song writing that Clancy has developed an incredible passion & tremendous ability to connect with audiences. Having written over 100 songs in the past eighteen months alone on top of an already impressive catalogue, Clancy is an exceptionally hard-working singer-songwriter devoted to her craft & creating songs that resonate with everyday people. Ready to release new music in 2022, Clancy has her sights firmly set on sharing her best work yet.
