The Crime Scene
Description
WA is home to a burgeoning cohort of crime writers.
In this session we survey the local crime writing scene and put the spotlight on three Western Australian writers, each with their own distinctive voice:
Emma Pignatiello writes books about people getting murdered and falling in love (not in that order…usually.) She wrote her debut romantic suspense novel, Last Shot, because not enough people were being murdered in the romance books she was reading.
Meg Caddy is a YA novelist who 'has carved a unique space' with their most recent novel, A Flash in the Dust - 'a gripping historical YA thriller with a dash of queer romance.'
Ruth McIver is an award-winning author of literary crime fiction. Her most recent novel, The Sound has been described as 'a thrilling mystery that will keep readers guessing till the very end'.
