The Curious Incident of the Dog In the Night Time was first presented by the National Theatre, London at the Cottesloe Theatre on 2nd August 2012 and transferred to the Apollo Theatre, West End, London on 12th March 2013.

The Play opened in the USA at the Ethel Barrymore Theatre on 5th October 2014.

Directed, produced, and performed by the VCE Theatre Studies class of 2025 as part of their curriculum, ‘The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time’ is a play based on Mark Haddon's novel, adapted by Simon Stephens. It follows Christopher Boone, a neurodivergent 15-year-old boy with an extraordinary mathematical mind. When he discovers his neighbor’s dog, Wellington, has been mysteriously killed, Christopher embarks on a detective mission to uncover the culprit. His investigation leads him to unexpected revelations about his family, forcing him to navigate a chaotic world that overwhelms him. As he journeys from his home in Swindon to London, Christopher faces fears, discovers hidden truths, and proves his independence in ways he never imagined. The play, told from Christopher’s unique perspective and narrated by his teacher, Siobhan, uses innovative staging, lighting, and movement to immerse the audience in his experience. It is a powerful exploration of truth, trust, and resilience, offering a deeply moving and visually stunning theatrical experience.

13 + Parental Guidance recommended, contains adult themes including swearing and a depiction of domestic violence and may also involve strobe lighting.

Please park in the Junior School Car Park (off Bells Hill Road - a sharp turn off Main Road will lead you to the car park if you are coming from Research (see image below), (if you are coming from the Warrandyte direction please turn on to Bells Hill Road from Warrandyte-Research road); Please see the map below to see the route from the car park to the theatre.
• The show begins at 7.30pm, we ask that people arrive 15 minutes before hand to ensure they can make their way to the venue from the car park and settle in.
