The Cutting feat. Elk Wines
The Cutting
stone well, australia
Event description
We want you to feel invited!
The Cutting wines will be toasting to Vintage 2022 and the opening of their new experience on their purpose built tasting deck. We have invited small batch producer Elk Wines to join us as our guest winery and to share their delicious drops with you.
So, come over for a glass of wine and a chance to mingle between the vines. Hosted by our resident winemaker Belinda van Eyssen and guest Elka Parsons, you'll enjoy some genuine Barossa Valley hospitality.
You can expect a relaxing atmosphere, with live music by Adelaide singer and songwriter Axe & the Ivory and authentic Paella from Oranaise Catering, prepared right in front of you. We'll kick off the evening with a preview tasting in our boutique onsite winery.
*Limited tickets available due to COVID restrictions, so book yours without delay!
Our story...
Winemaker Belinda van Eyssen and viticulturist Daniel McDonald launched The Cutting in 2018. The family venture specialises in small scale award winning Shiraz and more recently old vine Grenache production. Belinda spent her formative winemaking years in the winelands of South Africa, France, Portugal, New Zealand and the US. Daniel spent his training in the vineyards of Australia's Barossa Valley, with brief explorative sojourns to vineyards in Germany and the US. They met among the vines of Sonoma County in California before setting up home and cellar in the Stone Well sub-region of the Barossa, origin of The Cutting.
