Lex Lasry AM KC is a highly experienced barrister, judge and podcaster with a long career in criminal law. Lex represented Van Nguyen charged with drug trafficking in Singapore, Andrew Chan and Myuran Sukumaran (until 2007), two of the ‘Bali 9’, the Law Council of Australia as the independent observer at the trial of David Hicks at Guantanamo Bay Cuba, ‘Jihad’ Jack Thomas in his terrorism trial, and former police officer Peter Halloran in Sierra Leone, Many of these cases involved the threat (or actual imposition) of the death penalty.
