NSW approves more homes than it builds. Not because of planning or approvals, but because of what happens inside building firms once a project is underway. Most can't see the true position of their own projects until it's too late. It's the reason good firms fail on good jobs, and it's the part of the housing challenge no one has measured. Until now.

This research went inside twelve NSW firms, led by Infinikey Consulting with Western Sydney University. But this event isn't a report being read aloud. It's the moment the work turns from evidence to action.

On 30 September, we'll put the findings in front of the industry, debate them with a senior panel of people who actually deliver, and, for the first time, set out what we've built on top of this research to close the delivery gap. This is where the next phase begins, and where the room helps shape it.

It matters just as much for modern methods of construction. Offsite and prefabricated delivery only prove their advantage once the operating model behind them is sound, and this research shows MMC exposes a weak delivery business rather than fixing it. If you're building the future of how homes get made, this is the conversation you want to be in.

Why this session is different

Most construction research ends at recommendations. This one continues. The findings are one stage of an end-to-end initiative: research inside the firms, published evidence, a designed response, and execution with the firms themselves. It's the first time that full loop has been run on the operating model of NSW housing delivery, and 30 September is where it crosses from evidence into action.

What to expect

The findings, presented in full
A moderated panel of senior industry voices
The first look at what comes next
A room of people genuinely delivering homes in NSW, the peers you rarely get to compare notes with

Who should attend

This is a room for the people who deliver, and everyone whose work shapes whether a project gets built well. At its core, it's for NSW builders and developers, but the delivery problem runs the full length of the chain, so it's just as relevant to:

Builders and residential developers
Civil and infrastructure contractors
Project and construction managers
Architects and designers
Engineers and consultants
Legal, commercial, and advisory firms in construction and property
Anyone working in offsite, prefabricated, or modern methods of construction

If your business touches how projects actually get delivered, from the first design decision to the final handover, you'll find your work in these findings.

The room is limited and fills from personal invitations first. Registration is free while seats remain.

The Delivery Deficit is a research initiative of Western Sydney University and Infinikey Consulting.
