The DeLorean Project - Youth Innovation Showcase 2023

Showcase Expo from 5pm - 6.30pm. Come and see our DeLorean students' amazing creativity and problem solving skills in a jam packed student expo where teams will be sharing their DeLorean Journey with you as well as their prototypes, products and genius ideas. 

Presentations and Keynote Speaker from 6.30pm - 7.30pm. We will be acknowledging a number of students who have really shined over the duration of the program and celebrating their hard work and achievements. There will be some pretty cool awards being handed out and the entire presentation event is MC'd by some of our own DeLorean students. 

This year's Keynote Speaker is Owen Bowling, Co-Founder and CEO at Coach Welly. 

Over the last 20 years working in the fitness industry, Owen has founded and co-founded multiple companies, serving the industry with equipment, education, media/marketing services and technology solutions.

Owen's fitness journey began in 2003 after having returned from playing semi-professional soccer in Italy. He spent 5 years honing his craft as a Personal Trainer, working in small studio’s, large “big-box” gyms, and managing a team of personal trainers.

Then in 2011, after two years of research and development, Owen launched CrankIt Fitness. CrankIt is now an international fitness brand distributed in over 25 countries. Crankit have educated over 6000 fitness professionals who collectively train over 100,000 sessions per week using CrankIt movement techniques.

After a decade of success in the Fitness Industry, Owen and his team at Coach Welly are ready to launch the next big innovation in sports technology. Coach Welly is a sports technology startup poised to rapidly grow into a technology leader to disrupt the global health and fitness market using a combination of AI, fitness content, biometrics and gamification with cloud-based software to provide a personalised user experience at scale.

Owen is literally on the presopus of going to market with one of the biggest technology innovations the industry has seen and we have the privilege of hearing him share his story and encourage our DeLorean students. Owen believes in shaking up the status quo and loves to connect with people who care about making a positive difference in the world. He also believes that young people are full of untapped potential and cannot wait to participate in our 2023 DeLorean Project Youth Innovation Showcase.
