In South Australia, Police officers have been performing detective duties since 1853. South Australian Police Historical Society Secretary, Dr Barry Blundell APM, a retired Detective Senior Sergeant, will discuss the establishment of the position of Detective and the formation of a Detective Branch, together with some of the characters and fascinating cases they have dealt with over time.
