The West Coast, we're coming back.

After two unforgettable West Coast shows in Granity and Barrytown, The Dorado Experiment are returning to the Coast for a big night at Punakaiki Tavern.

Our first trip west introduced us to an audience that immediately got what The Dorado Experiment is all about. We came back to Granity for Matariki and the response was even bigger. The show turned into a wild night of psychedelic rock, extended jams, huge riffs and soaring vocals, finishing with a second encore and a crowd that wasn't ready to let the night end.

So now we're bringing the Experiment to Punakaiki.

And we reckon the West Coast is ready for a kicker.

The Dorado Experiment are a five-piece original band from Whakatū Nelson, blending psychedelic rock, blues, progressive grooves and expansive soundscapes. Drawing inspiration from Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Cream, The Doors and Santana, the band take those influences somewhere entirely their own.

The music is composed, but the performance is alive. Songs stretch, breathe and evolve into substantial improvised jams before crashing back into huge riff-driven sections. Every show is different. Every night is a risk.

Ritual. Riff. Risk.

After packed shows across the West Coast, we're coming back with a full tank of fuel and a whole lot of music to unleash.
