Description

Play a round. Fund a cure. Start a tradition.

The Drive to Remember Classic (#TDRC) is an inaugural charity golf day bringing Canberra together to raise vital funds for dementia research at The Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.

Organised by the Kenna family in honour of our mum, Tracey, who is living with early-onset dementia, this day is built to turn personal experience into meaningful scientific progress. Held right before Christmas at the stunning Federal Golf Club, it is the perfect end-of-year fixture to bring friends, colleagues, and clients together.

FAQs

  • What is the tournament format?

We play a 4-person Ambrose format. All four players tee off, the team selects the best ball position, and everyone plays their next shot from that spot. It keeps play fast, fun, and competitive for golfers of every handicap.

  • Do I need an official handicap to play?

No. While players with an official Golf Link handicap will use it for net scoring, beginners and social golfers without a handicap are welcome to play off a default social handicap.

  • Where do the funds go?

All net proceeds from entry fees, hole sponsorships, raffles, and auctions go directly to medical research at The Florey, the largest brain research institute in the Southern Hemisphere.

  • Can businesses get a Tax Invoice for ticket or sponsorship payments?

Yes. Humanitix automatically generates and emails an official Tax Invoice immediately upon checkout, allowing corporate sponsors and teams to claim the payment as a legitimate marketing/advertising expense.

  • What if I don’t have a full team of 4?

You can register as an Individual Player ($150), and we will match you with a group on the day.

  • How do corporate sponsorships work?

Hole sponsorships ($300) and Major Partner packages are available directly through this registration page or by contacting our team. Sponsors receive tee signage, event recognition, and direct exposure to the Canberra business community.
