The Eileen Youtie Foundation's LA Luncheon

Join us for a fabulous afternoon of lunch, conversation, and fundraising as The Eileen Youtie Foundation brings our community together in Los Angeles! After three incredible fundraisers in Miami, we’re excited to gather new and familiar faces around a cause close to our hearts: helping people understand their genetic cancer risks and giving them the knowledge, care, and support to take action.

Started in honor of my mother, Eileen, who passed away from breast cancer linked to a BRCA1 mutation, our foundation carries forward her tireless advocacy for patients and their families. Our mission is to educate people about genetic cancer risks, help prevent hereditary cancers, and provide support to those affected and their loved ones.

The luncheon will feature delicious food and an honest, informative panel conversation about hereditary cancer, genetic testing, early detection, and holistic care. Through personal experiences and firsthand knowledge, we’ll explore what it means to carry a BRCA mutation, how to be proactive about your health, and why these conversations matter for you and your family. There will also be plenty of time to connect, ask questions, and learn more about the work your support makes possible.

Funds raised will benefit the Eileen Youtie Predisposition Syndrome Initiative at Sylvester Comprehensive Cancer Center, which brings together genetic counseling, personalized screening and prevention plans, multidisciplinary care, and ongoing patient support. Our work with Sylvester has shown us the difference coordinated, compassionate care can make. With your help, we hope to expand our reach and bring this work into cancer centers in Los Angeles.

Eileen believed in showing up for people, asking questions, and advocating for the care they deserve. We’re proud to continue that work and would love for you to be part of it.
