Sadness carries a quiet, heavy weight that often feels uncomfortable to express in a world that demands us to keep going and "stay positive." When we carry lingering disappointment, unspoken heartbreak, or a quiet ache in our chest, it takes a heavy physical toll to keep holding it up.

What are emotions?

At their core, emotions are "energy in motion". Biochemical and energetic signals meant to move through the body. Sadness is a natural, softening signal that invites us to slow down, turn inward, soothe ourselves, and honor what has been lost or missed.

What happens when we suppress sadness?

When sadness is pushed down, the body develops physical armour to prevent tears or vulnerability. Suppressed sadness lives as a heavy sensation in the chest, constricted breathing in the lungs, emotional numbness, brain fog, and a deep, chronic physical fatigue.
