Sydney Actors School presents ‘The Ensemble’: a one-year part time course for actors run by Sydney Actors School Acting tutor Felix Williamson. Work for a year of Saturdays with a small ensemble of dedicated actors. This course is for actors who want professional tools to pursue their careers, but may not have the time to dedicate themselves to full time study.

Over 40 weeks of Saturday classes, broken up into four terms, actors will cover all the rudiments and nuances of screen acting with Felix Williamson, guest tutors, and industry professionals.

This course is available to actors aged 16+, and will run weekly on Saturdays from 10am-6pm. Entry to The Ensemble is by audition.

Course commencement date: Saturday July 12th, 2025.

Ensemble members will receive their edited footage from their final scene work.


Felix Williamson is the Screen Acting tutor at Sydney Actors School. Felix studied at the Australian Theatre for Young People for seven years, going on to work at the Gloucester Stage Company in the USA in 1988. He was accepted into NIDA and graduated from the three-year Acting course in 1991.

In 1994 he founded and directed his theatre company, Naked Theatre Company.

Felix was a teacher at NIDA from 1994-2010, tutoring in the Corporate, Open Program and Main School, for which he directed the NIDA 2009 third-year Acting graduation film Jimmy Tennison.

He has also taught at ATYP, The Actors Centre, Sydney Drama School, Screenwise, Mark Morrissey Management, and for private companies & persons.

He has worked in theatre, film, and television in Australia and internationally for over 40 years.

Felix’s theatre credits include Cruise Control (The Ensemble), Sanctuary (Playbox Theatre Company), The Merchant of Venice (Bell Shakespeare), Sun Kisses (Railway Street Theatre), Bouncers (Threshold), and with the Sydney Theatre Company: Virgin Mim, Mr Kolpert, Up for Grabs, Six Degrees of Separation, Pygmalion, and The Rise and Fall of Little Voice.

His television credits include The Messenger, Wolf Like Me, Water Rats, Wildside, Police Rescue, Stupid Stupid Man, Go Big, My Brother Jack, The Road from Coorain, Farscape, Remote Area Nurse, LOST, Hawke, Miss Fisher’s Murder Mysteries, Mr and Mrs Murder, and The Mystery of the Hansom Cab.

Felix’s film credits include Spa Weekend, Truth, Peter Rabbit, The Great Gatsby, Backyard Ashes, The Wannabes, The Thin Red Line, Thank God He Met Lizzy, Ned, The Rage in Placid Lake, Mr Accident, Me Myself I, Red Ink, Strange Planet and Dirty Deeds.
